This is a mat-forming species from Japan that grows to 12 in (30 cm) tall by 18 in (45 cm) across. It has fleshy dark green leaves. Its flowers have yellow centers and pink or white ray florets produced in fall (autumn). The lower leaves are rounded and divided into 5 lobes, those higher up the flower stems are much reduced and can be pinnate or entire and linear.
